Winner of the Safeguarding Inclusion Award 2025

“We are delighted that Busy Bees has won the Safeguarding and Child Protection Association (SACPA) Award for Safeguarding Inclusion.

This award was the perfect end to an inspiring and thought-provoking conference, filled with insights from exceptional speakers in the field of safeguarding.

At Busy Bees, safeguarding our children, teams, and families is at the heart of everything we do, and to be recognised for our commitment to creating safe and inclusive environments is truly an honour.”

Busy Bees has established a comprehensive and inclusive approach to supporting children with additional needs across its nationwide network through its dedicated SEND Helpdesk. This platform provides all employees with expert guidance, training, and secure information logging, enabling early intervention and reinforcing the connection between safeguarding and inclusion.

Insights from logged data inform targeted training delivered directly to Centre Directors, ensuring consistent and locally relevant support. Twice-yearly data collection and analysis further refine policies and practices, allowing the organisation to adapt to the rising number of children with additional needs and maintain a focus on inclusion.

A recent innovation, the Medical Risk Assessment Panel bringing together experts from safeguarding, SEND, health and safety, legal, and operational fields ensures holistic, high-quality care for children with complex or life-limiting conditions. Together, these measures have created a highly skilled, responsive workforce and an inclusive environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.
