Faculty / Directorate
Student and Academic Services is responsible for providing a wide and diverse range of services to all our students including Admissions, Graduation, Student Welfare, Careers & Employability, Student Finance and Academic Quality.

Role
As Wellbeing Officer, you will provide professional and impartial short-term counselling to students individually and in group settings. You will help design
and deliver our suite of HealthyDMU Masterclasses (www.dmu.ac.uk/healthy), and other bespoke sessions. Our successful masterclasses are an opportunity for students to develop life skills such as managing pressure effectively and getting the most out of their confidence. The role will require you to act as part of our Single Point of Access (SPA) service, to assess student needs and work in collaboration with colleagues to ensure interventions are identified and referrals made as required to support student retention and attainment. The role is on a permanent, part time (30 hours per week) basis. The salary shown will need to be pro-rated down to reflect the part time hours of the position.
