Salary: £23,000 – £26,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Scottish Cycling is the national governing body for cycle sport in Scotland. As the largest cycling membership organisation in Scotland, we are the voice of our sport and represent the aspirations of our community. In late 2019 we launched our new strategy, Developing a Nation of Cyclists, which details our mission, vision and values and outlines how we will deliver activities across our four strategic themes of Lead, Grow, Support and Partner.

Our home base and the performance hub for our sport is the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, built for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Working across six different disciplines of cycling, we are committed to developing a nation of cyclists, maximising participation for all and delivering international success.

The continued growth of our organisation has resulted in the need to strengthen and develop our business operations and support functions.

The Wellbeing and Protection Officer will play a primary role in ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding at all levels of the sport and will support Scottish Cycling deliver against our strategic priorities.

The postholder will support the Safeguarding functions across Scottish Cycling, ensuring that we are legally compliant and have effective policies, systems and procedures in place to ensure the continued growth of our sport.

The post is based at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow however some level of hybrid working will be required at the current time. The post is full time, 37.5 hours per week.
