Our Student Services and Support department is looking for a proactive individual with excellent communication skills to take on the role of Safeguarding and Welfare Officer.
Working in this role you will be part of a front-line team handling and supporting student Safeguarding and Welfare concerns, signposting to external agencies in order to support the student and reduce barriers to learning so the student can progress and achieve.
You will have qualifications to a Level 3 standard or equivalent and experience of dealing with safeguarding and welfare cases in a sensitive and professional way.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of supporting vulnerable young people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds with a wide range of issues and the ability to work under pressure is also essential to the post.
