A unique chance to influence wellbeing and protection across Scottish sport

This is an exciting opportunity to lead on the establishment of a new, national service providing case management support to Scottish governing bodies of sport (SGBs). Children 1st is working in partnership with sportscotland to develop this service and support SGBs to effectively manage wellbeing and protection concerns for all who participate in sport.

We are now looking for a skilled and confident leader to develop, launch and grow this service from the outset. As the Team Leader, you will lead and manage the team’s partnership with SGBs to:

  • support their management of wellbeing and protection concerns and investigations in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • build the knowledge, skills and confidence of SGB staff through training, mentoring and directed learning.
  • facilitate the development of resources including practice guidance, tools and templates that support SGBs’ case management of wellbeing and protection concerns.

What kind of person will make a great Team Leader for the Case Management Support Service ?

  • able to inspire and motivate team members providing leadership, guidance and emotionally-intelligent support.
  • have an excellent understanding of wellbeing and protection for both children and adults.
  • have effective organisational skills and an ability to respond to manage investigations and changing situations.
  • is a strong communicator who values a collaborative approach
  • is passionate about human rights.

Base

You will primarily work at home with a periodic requirement to attend meetings at our offices and those of our partners across central Scotland.

Salary, Conditions, Pension

We will offer you a competitive salary, generous annual leave entitlement (40 days inclusive of 9 public holidays, pro rata), flexible working opportunities and a contributory pension scheme.

Hours

This is a fixed term, full time post of 35 hours per week funded initially until 31 June 2025.
