Job Description

Brentside High School is seeking to appoint a SaFE Worker to support the pastoral intervention needed for effective learning within the Sixth Form.

SaFE workers assist students’ academic and holistic progress. They ensure that Brentside’s Learning Agreement is adhered to and the appropriate interventions are put in place in order to make students feel safe, secure and successful. They provide support to the Year Leader with the coordination of all aspects of the development of independent learners within Sixth Form in order to lay the foundation for a successful academic career in preparation for their future.

We are a ‘popular and oversubscribed’ (Ofsted), 11-19 comprehensive school of 1,500 students including 240 in the Sixth Form.

About you

The ideal candidate for this post:

  • * Will contribute to the inclusive ethos of Brentside High School; supporting the positive image of the school in the local and wider community
  • * Will provide support to the Sixth Form Leadership Team in meeting the welfare and pastoral needs of students
  • * Will be able to manage behaviour and pastoral related concerns successfully and liaise with outside agencies to provide appropriate support
  • * Will share our belief that everyone can benefit from and has an entitlement to high quality educational opportunities
