Job Description

Children 1st’s Child Wellbeing and Protection in Sport Service (CWPS) is offering an exciting opportunity to lead a strong and dynamic team into the next phase of our work. We have recently re-named, after being called Safeguarding in Sport, to reflect the range of the work we are involved with. We work in partnership with sportscotland, supporting governing bodies of sports in Scotland to ensure children and young people stay safe and have fun in sport. We provide consultancy, training and advice to governing bodies, so they can meet the National Standards for Child Protection and Wellbeing in Sport, which we developed with them and monitor.

We also want to support the development of sport as a resource for children and families across Children 1st and ensure that we speak up for children, young people and families on issues of sport and physical activity.

This role will be central to all of this!

If you are a committed professional leader with a Social Work, Community work, Education or other appropriate qualification and have solid recent experience in working in child protection we want to hear from you.
