Job Description

Somerset Cricket Foundation seeks a suitably experienced Safeguarding Trustee to join the Board to play a leading strategic role as part of our Safeguarding team. This person will work alongside dedicated staff from both the Cricket Foundation (formerly Somerset Cricket Board,) and Somerset County Cricket Club.

As a registered charity, the Cricket Foundation’s aim is to engage, inspire and improve people’s lives through cricket by delivering a variety of recreational cricket projects – Chance to Shine, Club and Leagues Support, Schools projects, Women and Girls cricket, and a variety of Disability and Special Educational Needs programmes.

Each of these activities emphasise our view that cricket can have a positive impact on everybody’s life.

In Somerset we are fortunate to work closely with a First Class County Cricket Club, and our working base is located at the Cooper Associates County Ground – a venue that hosts domestic and international matches.

Additionally we have one hundred and fifty local cricket clubs and an army of dedicated cricket volunteers across the county.

These ‘assets’ give cricket in Somerset the power to have a great impact in our communities.
