Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust was formed in October 2019, following the merger of 2gether NHS Foundation Trust and Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust. The two Trusts joined together to provide integrated mental health, physical health and learning disability services to communities.


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a calm, self-motivated practitioner to join our safeguarding team. The post holder will work as a Safeguarding Children Practitioner within the Gloucestershire MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub). The post holder will contribute to the health component of the MASH service, working alongside partner agencies in order to ensure that effective integrated and well-informed decision-making leads to early help and Safeguarding.

The post holder will be given the opportunity to professionally develop their safeguarding competencies within the Trusts Safeguarding team.

For this diverse and interesting role the post holder will need to have knowledge of safeguarding processes and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience of working within a Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) is desirable.

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.
