The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Safeguarding Officer. The post-holder will be responsible for responding to safeguarding concerns which are raised with the Labour Party Safeguarding Unit and assisting in the management of the investigation of safeguarding allegations which are made against members of staff, volunteers or members of the Labour Party.
The successful candidate will have: An excellent understanding of legislation, regulated frameworks and standards in relation to Safeguarding, Child Protection, Adults at Risk protection and DBS/Disclosure Scotland checks and equalities legislation; Experience of producing and delivering training/presentations and other materials for a variety of audiences; the ability to work across teams to provide support and direction throughout the organization; and hold a social work qualification.
