We have a great opportunity for an experienced and passionate Safeguarding Officer to join our academy to lead on safeguarding across the academy.

The Safeguarding Officer will work closely with the academy’s designated safeguarding lead and safeguarding team, as well as all academy staff, to ensure the effective implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures across the academy.

You will provide advice, guidance and support for pupils and staff whilst working with the pastoral teams to plan and implement interventions and support where appropriate. You will also need to keep up to date with your own personal development within the safeguarding sphere so that you are confident and able to deliver safeguarding training to academy staff.

To be successful for this role you will need to have significant experience and training in leading safeguarding within an educational setting. Safeguarding management training and experience within social care, targeted youth and wider inclusion would also be desirable.

About Us

Weston Favell Academy is making substantial improvements in all areas and we are investing heavily in our staffing structure to continue this momentum. We are a supportive team, committed to ensuring that our learners fulfil their potential despite any barriers they may face. We are looking for equally passionate practitioners to join our team.

The academy, led by Todd Johnson, Principal, has a very vibrant, supportive and hardworking team, committed to promoting high achievement in education whilst ensuring that standards of behaviour and uniform are impeccable. Pupils are supported to not only achieve highly but also to ensure they are prepared for their future through a variety of enrichment opportunities.

Located on the outskirts of Northampton, we are situated in a great part of the country. Northampton has a £20billion economy and sits at the heart of one of four designated growth areas in England, with big plans for housing and the economy. With plenty of countryside on the doorstep, it’s surprising that it’s only an hour away from London.

In return:
