Prospectus is delighted to be working with a leading International human rights organisation in their search for a Safeguarding Manager, helping to increase the effectiveness and impact of the organisation to improve lives of millions of the most vulnerable people around the world. This is a full-time, permanent based in London (hybrid).

Reporting to the Managing Director of Finance and Administration, the new Safeguarding manager will act as the standalone safeguarding expert, and the main point of contact for safeguarding issues. The Safeguarding Manager will coordinate the development of the organisation’s safeguarding framework, raising awareness, and providing training on the organisation’s measures. The postholder will receive reports and allegations that relate to safeguarding, ensuring necessary measures are taken, providing regular reports to SMT, the Board and external parties on safeguarding matters. Finally, the successful candidate will work closely with the organisations international focal point, coordinating safeguarding throughout these hotspots, providing advice internationally.

To be successful, you will have demonstrable experience within a safeguarding position, providing guidance and support on safeguarding matter across an organisation, ideally providing advice internationally. You will experience designing and delivering safeguarding training to a broad range of stakeholders within an organisation, keeping up to date with safeguarding legislation, regulation, and best practice. You will be a clear communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills able to liaise with individuals at all levels nationally, and internationally. Preferably, you will have experience as a standalone Safeguarding expert, but this is not a necessity.
