Pan Dorset Safeguarding Childrens Partnership Business Manager

Salary range: £52,000-58,000

Hybrid working model – Home working & office

The Pan-Dorset Safeguarding Partnership has a new and exciting proposition to create real change in Safeguarding for children and young people, here’s a snapshot of their vision!

Are you a talented influencer who can build and strengthen high quality safeguarding multi-agency partnership relationships? Would you like to take an integral lead to spearhead the role of orchestrating all partnerships and relationships to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people across Dorset and BCP?

The Pan-Dorset Safeguarding Partnership consists of 4 statutory partners including Dorset and BCP LAs, Police and Health (CCG). Now is an exciting time to be a key part of their quest to lead, refresh and deliver against new partnership priorities; including; violence against women and girls, child sexual abuse, exploitation, early intervention and effective disruption resulting from swift, efficient and collaborative decision making. Promoting commercial awareness, and leading from the front and by example the business manager will be key to holding the partnership to account working with partners to co-ordinate and deliver against their key objectives and priorities.

You will be expected to report to the statutory partners at a senior executive level and be able to support and work alongside the independent chair of the partnership. You will have a business unit who you will be responsible for along with the partnership budget. You will be key in driving the partnership priorities, strategic planning and the co-ordination of the partnership to achieve successful outcomes for children and their families, building safe strong communities. Lead on all communications, governance and performance, championing safeguarding rights and needs of the children and young people throughout Pan Dorset.

You will be pivotal in the direction of travel for this new and exciting post, you will be given the unique opportunity to shape and steer the future of safeguarding partnerships for Pan Dorset, ensuring the partnership is effective in delivering all its key milestones.

The Person

Degree qualified in a relevant field

including QSW, Education, Social

Care, or Police.

Extensive experience in safeguarding

in any of the above related fields

A commercially focused and talented

influencer

You will be a confident and

experienced people manager and will

be able to both challenge and

support all levels in the partnership

The facilitation of strategic

partnerships and ensuring good

governance will be a critical aspect of

this role, requiring a high degree of

organisation and planning.
