Salary: £10,762 – £12,117(FTE £20,655 – £23,256)
Contract: Permanent, 22.2 hours per week term time only

About the Role:
City of Bristol College is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and proactive Safeguarding and Welfare Advisor. This position is part time.

What you’ll be responsible for/what we are looking for:
You will be responsible for delivering an empowering welfare service through working closely with learners to enable them to contact and engage with services and information to address barriers to learning caused by financial, accommodation, personal and social challenges.
You will create a visible and accessible welfare services to students and to engage proactively with curriculum areas, learning support and other services to ensure a holistic approach to supporting and advising students.
In addition you will deliver an effective front line safeguarding service that helps to protect vulnerable young people and adults, that enables learners to be retained on their course. Responsible to the Safeguarding Coordinator you will need to be Educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience of Delivery of Welfare, Safeguarding or Youth Work or related service. You will need to show a detailed understanding of current trends and issues in Welfare, Youth Work or Safeguarding and a thorough understanding of the role of individual records in data collection and audit compliance.
