Job Description

British Council are recruiting for a Regional Safeguarding Manager, South Asia to provide strategic direction for safeguarding across the region and ensure their approach, policies, procedures and organisational culture enable us to provide a safe environment for children and adults who come into contact with us.

Your key responsibilities in the role will include:

  • Leading on the regional safeguarding framework and ensuring measures are in place to identify and manage risks
  • Leading and participating in the management of safeguarding investigations
  • Ensuring that standards of safeguarding are maintained across programmes and activities
  • Developing and implementing a programme of support and assurance for our partners to ensure appropriate safeguarding arrangements are in place across our programmes and activities.

To apply and be successful in the role, you will need experience of:

  • The safeguarding arena with focus on child safeguarding and vulnerable adults/ vulnerable communities within an international context
  • Conducting and leading safeguarding case management work
  • Working within a multi-agency audience and with senior managers
