Purpose of Job
To coordinate the delivery of a practical programme of work led by BITC and The Prince’s Foundation to combat food waste, capitalising upon heightened awareness of climate change and the ability for us all to take action on food waste. The individual will work closely with BITC, the Prince’s Foundation and other partners and stakeholders to organise roundtable discussions, signpost businesses to relevant activity and coordinate
Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities Project Management Deliver and manage the project Making Food Go Further and ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget. Develop success measures and provide regular reporting on progress, challenges, and areas where further support is required. Stakeholder Management Leverage resources and colleagues at BITC, Prince’s Foundation and partners. Working with the local community, local authority, enterprise agencies, secure practical action and resources to support this work. Support engagement with strategic partners and organisations to access financial and non-financial support. Recruitment and onboarding of businesses and other partners to take part in the programme of work and lend their resources and expertise. Special working conditions This post will require travel to Dumfries House in Cumnock approximately three times a month once travel is allowed under COVID-19 restrictions. A personal vehicle is recommended (but not required) as the area is rural with limited public transport options.
