The Opportunity

The Partnerships Team (PT) sits in the Strategy & Collaboration Department and is responsible for supporting the organisation in advancing good practices in partnering, setting standards and processes for organisational partnership work, leading global learning and development on partnering, in addition to leading and supporting the cultivation, building and nurturing of strategic relationships and alliances with a wide range of stakeholders at the global level.

Partnerships and civil society strengthening are core components of Plan International’s Programming and Influencing approach. As the Partnership and Civil Society Strengthening Officer you will strengthen organisational practices on partnership building and management, including a strong emphasis on working with civil society strengthening approaches. The role primarily focuses on providing direct support to country office colleagues.

We are looking for an individual with strong experience of working on partnership brokering and civil society strengthening at a country office level, and who has direct, in-depth understanding of country office operational and financial systems.

Location: Global Hub, Woking UK with flexible working or Flexible where Plan International has a legal entity and the applicant has the pre-existing right to work.
