An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our Safeguarding Service to champion the voice of our Looked After children here in Stoke on Trent.
If you are enthusiastic and dedicated to good outcomes for young people then we would like to hear from you. This role is key in ensuring the voice of our Looked after children and young people is heard and listened to at all levels within the Council. You will need to have good organisational and listening skills and have a commitment to good outcomes for children and young people.
This role will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating our Children in care council as well as championing the voice of the child throughout the organisation, looking at innovative and new ways to engage young people so that they can fully contribute to improving our service and being part of our journey.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all our employees and volunteers to share this commitment. This position is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicant will be subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
