Operations Manager (Counselling & Safeguarding)
Location : The post will be based at EACH Ealing. Remote working may be necessary and will be required to work from any of EACH’s locations.
Salary : Salary scale £36,000 – £44,000 per annum (inclusive of Outer London Weighting) for FTE. Hours: 37.5 per week
Duration : This is a permanent post and is subject to performance and continuous funding.
EACH is a growing charity providing specialist services to individuals and families primarily from BAME communities affected by mental health, domestic violence and alcohol and substance misuse issues. Our success is through a diverse staff and volunteer team, who are passionate and committed to meeting the needs of our local communities. We provide counselling, psycho-education, recovery and aftercare support (e.g. floating support, peer-led initiatives, employment coaching) in a range of languages to empower people to become healthier and more independent. This role will suit someone seeking to enhance or build upon their management career.
We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Operations Manager who will be responsible for:
Effective co-ordination and implementation and development of some of our services across all sites, with a focus on counselling provision and programmes (including our social enterprise/low cost counselling)
Provide management & leadership to senior staff on service implementation, development and staff and service performance
Ensure high quality and effective services Having oversight of volunteer and trainee counsellors programme Leading on safeguarding to ensure safe practice, including through policy and practice
You will need:
Experience of delivering a range of projects or services on time and within budgets. A
bility to address under-performance or compliance issues (services/staff) Experience of managing effective contractual relationships with commissioners/funders
Experience of working with people from BAME communities and diverse social and cultural background.
Ability to identify risk and responding appropriately.
