Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate nursery manager to join our team at Little people nursery. As a nursery manager you will be responsible for working closely with our depute manager and team to deliver an outstanding service to our children and families in the community. Our nursery is a home from home environment and a warm and welcoming place to work, you will be joining a highly motivated and skilled team that pride themselves on the care, education and support we provide daily. You will be required to work as an knowledgeable and experienced member of the team that can lead and motivate staff and be responsible for the day to day running of the service.

General duties:

  • Lead and manage our staff team with the support of our depute manager demonstrating a shared sense of pride and vision for Little people nursery in the future.
  • Lead recruitment and overall management of staff including staff rotas and staff/team meetings.
  • Monitor and evaluate the service regularly to ensure continuous development and progress
  • Identify staff training needs ensuring these are met
  • Plan and manage staff appraisals, monitoring and induction procedures for all staff
  • Ensure child protection is adhered to and procedures followed
  • Responsible for health and safety issues in the nursery ensuring compliance at all times
  • Manage allocated budget with support of nursery owner to project spend and allocation of resources
  • Develop and implement initiatives that support children and their needs
  • Build strong partnerships with our families through day to day liaison with them
  • Liaise with outside agencies to further support the service we offer

As a nursery manager you must have gained Level 3 or HNC as a minimum with two years experience in a leadership role.

We will also consider a candidate who has gained Level 4 or PDA and be registered with SSSC and willing to work towards BA Childhood practise.

 

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Part-time hours: 30-40 per week

Salary: Starting salary: £24,000.00 to £31,000.00 per year
