SALARY: £46,133 – £50,422 per year
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
POSITION TYPE: Full Time
HOURS: 35 hours per week

Argyll and Bute Council, as a partner within Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership, is recruiting a Lead Officer for Child Protection to support Argyll & Bute Child Protection Committee (ABCPC) in its key functions of continuous improvement, strategic planning, public information, communication and promoting high standards of inter-agency protection practice in Argyll and Bute.

The successful candidate will support, promote and develop interagency working to protect vulnerable children in line with the priorities of Argyll and Bute’s Childcare Partnership and the Argyll and Bute Child Protection Committee (CPC).

  • The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013, as amended, applies to this post.
  • This post requires Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) Membership in relation to working with children and adults.
  • This post requires registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
