Job Description
Based in one of our primary schools, you will work full time, 37 hours per week, term time only, temporary until 31 March 2022.
Requirements
You will have a PDSA qualification or equivalent (at SCQF level 6 or above eg NC Early Education and Childcare, SVQ3 Social Care).
Responsibilities
Working as part of a support staff team, provide direct nurturing support and experiences for targeted children throughout the school day and during the Breakfast/After School Club periods as directed.
The Individual
You will have experience in a caring environment of working and empathising with children. You will be a good communicator and will be able to remain calm in challenging situations. You will be reliable, conscientious and have a flexible approach to work.
This post is considered regulated work with children and/or protected adults, under the protection of vulnerable groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
