We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Head of Safeguarding with a genuine passion for, and commitment to, the College and our pupils.
All aspects of Pupil Safeguarding are given the highest priority at Hurst. The Head of Safeguarding will provide leadership on all Safeguarding responsibilities and work closely with the Head of Mental Health on associated matters.
The successful applicant will have substantial safeguarding experience and in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, procedures and best practice regarding children’s welfare and wellbeing. They will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and manage the day to day running of all safeguarding matters.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability and credibility to interact effectively with a range of audiences including children, parents, colleagues, governors and external multi-agency organisations.
This is role is term time only +2 weeks, 45 hours per week: Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm (with one hour unpaid for lunch)
