Role Title: Early Years Safeguarding and Welfare Officer

Based at: Civic Office, Doncaster  (Due to COVID we are currently Home Working)         

Salary details: Grade 8, £27,049 – £30,564

Contract Type: 37 Hours Per Week, Full Time, Temporary Fixed Term until 31st August 2022

Enhanced Level DBS Disclosure is required for appointment to this post.

English Fluency Duty Under The Immigration Act 2016:  As you are applying for a customer facing role, you must have the ability to converse easily with customers being able to provide advice and guidance in accurate spoken English.

As an Early Years Safeguarding and Welfare Officer, you will have responsibility for implementing and contributing to the development of a programme to support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Safeguarding and Welfare requirements. You will advise, challenge and monitor in line with best practice and legislation, providing high quality advice and support to early years providers. This role is pivotal in supporting us with our covid response- providing regular support, information and guidance to settings and childminders. You will need to be good at reading and absorbing new guidance quickly in order to create documents to support practice.
