In addition to the range of teaching and other duties outlined in the job specification we are looking for individuals who enjoy working collegiately with colleagues and who have a firm commitment to improving the outcomes for Glasgow’s young people.
You should have significant experience in improving outcomes for children, young people and families, raising and maintaining the highest quality of education provision. The post holder will work in the secondary sector as part of the English as an Additional Language Service and may work across different schools.
As an EAL teacher your role will include:
Planning and teaching and co-operative teaching
Identification and assessment
Supporting professional learning
Partnership working
Consultancy and consultation
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment along with GTCS Registration. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
Salary for these posts will be pro –rata.
Posts will be 5 – 1 x 0.4 Kings Park Secondary, 1 x 0.6 Knightswood Secondary, 1 x 0.6 Springburn Academy, 1 x 0.4 St Paul’s High, 1 x 0.6 Notre Dame High.
In line with section 21(2A) of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980 the successful candidate for this post will require RC Approval if wishing to work in denominational sector.
