You’ll be joining a team which provides a wide range of excellent support services including independent living for older people, providing specialist accommodation and services for younger people, and managing a refuge and other safe accommodation for those fleeing domestic abuse.


Our teams also provide supported temporary accommodation for those aged 18-55 who have complex needs. Some roles involve providing help locally in the community, supporting and offering specialist advice and working with our partners to prevent homelessness.

About the role


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Younger Persons Service Manager to join our team at Ludlow Foyer.


Connexus delivers high quality supported accommodation in Ludlow for young people aged 16-25 and low level supported accommodation for 18-55 year olds.


We currently have a vacancy for a Deputy Younger Persons Service Manager to join our team, we are looking for a positive and dynamic Deputy Manager who has proven strong leadership skills, is able to remain calm in a crisis, and shows focus on youth engagement to empower the young people we support in line with the Foyer Federations “FOR YOUTH”, this role could be the stepping stone for your career in to a management role.


Within the role you will be directly line managing and supervising the Support Officers based at Ludlow Foyer, ensure the delivery of positive strength based models (SMART) to achieve high quality support service outcomes for Ludlow Foyer and The Grain Loft, provide direct support to the young people, and to lead the team with resident engagement.


You will need to be confident when dealing with outside agencies and aid the growth of the service by developing new links and partnerships with in the local community, with particular emphasis on training, employment and work-based activities.


The hours are based on a 6 day rota on shifts 9am to 5pm, 10am to 6pm or 2pm to 10pm,


You will be required to work two Saturdays a month on a 10am-6pm shift.


You will also be part of an on call rota to offer support and guidance over the phone every 6 weeks an additional flat rate of £75 will be paid for this.
