Term Time only, plus 5 INSET days, plus 3 additional days to be worked during holiday periods

Blessed Hugh Faringdon Catholic School is a successful and oversubscribed judged as “Good” by Ofsted.

We are seeking to appoint a Deputy Designated Senior Lead for Safeguarding to be the initial point of contact for safeguarding concerns across assigned Key Stages.

The role will involve maintaining links with relevant Local Authority departments and liaising with colleagues from other agencies to share and take action regarding professional concerns about students and young people as appropriate.

You will be required to create and update Child Protection files and case chronologies, both in hard copy and online, on a timely basis, along with attending, and reporting back, to the DSL, on any meetings as required. Safeguarding Level 3 Training will be provided.

The role will also include working with our Hard-to-Reach parents, some pastoral support to students and be part of the Mental Health First Aid team.
