Are you an experienced safeguarding professional looking for a rewarding non-teaching position in an ‘Outstanding’ secondary school? We have the perfect opportunity for you! The Westgate School is seeking to expand its Safeguarding Team and appoint a second dedicated Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to work alongside our Designated Safeguarding Lead and Deputy Headteacher, who leads safeguarding on our Senior Leadership Team.

As the DDSL, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and protection of our students. This is a fantastic chance to support the leadership of safeguarding and child protection across our entire school community. You will have the opportunity to put your strong background in safeguarding to great use, making a real difference to the lives of children and families.

This is a term time only role including INSETS, however the salary will be paid at the full time rate. This is with the expectation that you will be available to work during all school holiday periods. In light of this you will be permitted to take 5 days leave during term time.

Hours of work:-

8.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Thursday 8.00am – 3.30pm Friday (37 hours weekly)

Actual Salary NJC Level 5 Points 13-23 £25,950 to £31,153 per annum

You will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
