Earlham Primary School Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person with experience to join our team at Earlham. We have a highly experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead and a talented Pastoral Lead and are now seeking to increase our welfare capacity to meet our pupils’ growing needs, especially in COVID-19 and post COVID-19 times.

Earlham is a successful primary school that achieves excellent academic outcomes. We know that in order for children to learn more and remember more, their basic, social and emotional needs must be well met. We are committed to developing the emotional resilience and academic progress of our pupils. We are a Thrive school and currently on a journey to become a Trauma Informed School.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience within a range of educational settings.

More about the role : –

  • To be the school’s Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and abide by the requirements of Annex B of Keeping Children Safe in Education September 2016 and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015.
  • Attend Child Protection, Core Group, Children in Need (CiN), Team Around the Child (TAC) Care Management meetings and Strategic meetings.
  • To work closely with other agencies to ensure that appropriate support is found and forthcoming.
  • To provide a vital link between families and the agencies working with them.
  • To Lead pastoral work with pupils to ensure their emotional well-being.
