Clinical Psychologist in Critical Care and Staff Psychological Support

Clinical Psychologist Band 8b full time (37.5 hours per week).  Applications for part-time (18.75 hours) also considered.

Applications are invited from psychologists who are interested in working with patients and families in critical care and to support the psychological wellbeing of staff in a busy acute hospital setting.  In this post, the psychologist will as part of a committed, vibrant multidisciplinary team to provide psychological assessment and interventions to patients and families in Critical Care (18.75hours).  The psychologist will also provide support and training to the staff based within the service.  This post will deliver a range of individual, team and group interventions to support staff wellbeing across services based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (18.75hours).

This post is a new and exciting opportunity which builds on the successful staff support delivered by the Acute psychology team during the Covid 19 pandemic.  The psychologist will contribute to developing and evaluating a range of proactive and innovative interventions for staff. They will be based within the NHS Grampian Department of Clinical Health Psychology which is part of a wider acute service including Clinical Neuropsychology and Paediatric departments.

Active participation in CPD and research, including links with University of Aberdeen are encouraged.
