Sextortion: lessons from the casefiles

Course outline:

According to the National Crime Agency and IWF there has been a significant increase of financially motivated sexual extortion, often referred to as ’sextortion’ in the UK and internationally. 

This webinar explores what sextortion is and how to recognise and respond using case study examples. 

Training topics will include:

  • What is sextortion 
  • Recognising the signs and indicators 
  • Case file examples 
  • What can we do to support and influence safeguarding policy and practice. 

Learning outcomes:

  • Increase knowledge and awareness of the prevalence of sextortion 
  • Improve knowledge and understanding of signs and indicators of possible sextortion 
  • Review case-file examples 
  • Identify what can help support those harmed by sextortion 
  • Consider how learning can be implemented within policy and practice.
