Course outline:
Mental health remains a leading safeguarding concern for children, young people, their families, and the professionals who support them. This webinar explores key considerations for managing mental health within organisational settings, with a particular focus on effective mental health risk assessment and review processes.
Training topics will include:
- Current challenges in managing mental health in safeguarding contexts
- Understanding when mental health becomes a safeguarding issue
- The role of mental health risk assessments
- Recognising thresholds for support and accessing specialist services
- Knowing when to escalate concerns or initiate an incident review.
