Course outline:
This webinar provides an awareness overview of the Prevent Duty. Delegates will review the legal context, signs and indicators, response and referral to the challenge of radicalisation.
Training topics will include:
- What is radicalisation and the Prevent duty
- Recognising individuals who are vulnerable to radicalisation
- Managing disclosure and relevant referral to Channel for Prevent
Learning outcomes:
- Get a clearer understanding of their role & responsibilities towards your Prevent duty
- Recognise and identify the vulnerabilities to being drawn into radicalisation and extremism
- Learn what to do if there are concerns that an individual is at risk of radicalisation
- Be able to handle a disclosure effectively and raise these concerns appropriately
- Understand the referral process for Prevent and the Channel Panel process
