Course Outline:

Children and young people are growing up in an increasingly digital world where online platforms play a central role in learning, social interaction, and identity development. While digital technology offers significant educational and social benefits, it also exposes children to a range of safeguarding risks including online exploitation, cyberbullying, harmful content, and emerging risks associated with new technologies.

Parents and schools share a critical responsibility in supporting children to navigate the online world safely. However, many families and educators feel ill-equipped to keep pace with rapidly evolving digital platforms, apps, and online behaviours. This session, delivered through Safeguarding and Child Protection Association, will explore practical strategies for supporting digital parenting at home and strengthening safeguarding approaches within schools, helping professionals and parents work collaboratively to protect children online.
