Course outline:
The seminar will introduce the scope and prevalence of sexual violence and misconduct among children, and go into depth on recommended best practice in prevention and response. The seminar will involve delegate discussion and interaction using case study examples.
Training topics will include:
- What is sexual violence, sexual harassment and sexual misconduct
- The prevalence and scope of sexual violence and sexual misconduct
- The challenge of prevention and response in safeguarding practice
- Delegate reflective discussion using case study examples

Speaker: Maria Putz – Head of Training

Maria has also played a key role in developing and delivering the Preventing Sexual Misconduct Education (PSME) and the Sexual Misconduct Liaison Officer (SMLO) Model, helping schools and colleges implement a whole-school approach to prevention and response. She has presented nationally and internationally, with a focus on healthy relationships and safeguarding in sport.
Before joining LimeCulture, Maria worked as a specialist safeguarding nurse at the UK’s largest children’s hospital and has experience as an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) and Crisis Worker.
