You must be able to maintain high standards of professional care and practice and be able to demonstrate excellent team work, including good communication and leadership skills. The roles will work under the guidance of the Professional Lead and service manager for the DHC safeguarding service to strengthen delivery of safeguarding practice across DHC.

You will be expected to

  • deliver effective safeguarding advice to staff working within front line services, ensuring risk areas within cases are identified and that staff are adequately supported.
  • support & contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of DHC safeguarding education and training programs.
  • work in partnership with partner agencies and professionals, within safeguarding processes to improve outcomes for all utilising the “Safeguarding Everyone and Think Family” approach adopted by DHC.

As a newly transforming Safeguarding Service across Dorset, we are hoping for someone innovative who is as excited by these changes as we are. We value our staff and their extraordinary commitment to our patients and our organisation – together, we are dedicated to working as one team to make a difference to people’s lives and be better every day. We are keen to employ people who share the same vision and values as us. We will offer support and continual professional development.
