Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with Change Grow Live in Sheffield.

The Corner is a confidential drug and alcohol service for young people aged 10-18 in Sheffield. We offer advice and support to young people in the Sheffield area who are experiencing problems with drugs and alcohol. This support includes specialist care planned interventions as well as targeted group work, outreach and brief interventions. The service works in a holistic way with young people and works closely with local partners in ensuring a multi-agency approach to supporting young people with substance misuse issues.

The post holder will work as part of The Corner team helping to deliver a range of interventions, utilising a young person-centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and lead a safe, happy and healthy life.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey; providing screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, integrated care planning; identifying and responding effectively to potential safeguarding issues; reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community; providing advocacy for access to partnership services; working with service users to support positive, holistic outcomes in relation to their health and wellbeing, enabling them to lead safe, healthy and purposeful lives: reducing risk and increasing resilience.

The post holder will also have excellent communication and organizational skills understanding of substance misuse and evidenced based psychosocial interventions. The postholder will liaise with other agencies involved with the service user’s broader care plan including social, health and criminal justice services, including GP’s; Mental Health Workers; Youth Justice Service, schools.

You will have previous experience of working with and engaging young people in a community setting – supporting vulnerable young people to access support and make positive client led changes.

Salary Range: CGL points 23 to 28 (£23,218.59 – £26,983.44) ILW / OLW /Fringe: N/A – Outside London Weighting Area
