Well-Being Intervention Caseworker and Deputy Safeguarding Lead
Scale NJC 23-28
Working Term Time + 2 weeks (actual salary £24,817 to £28,836)

George Spencer Academy places a strong ethos on the emotional wellbeing of all its students. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Well-Being Intervention Caseworker to join our growing Well-Being team. The successful applicant would also become our deputy safeguarding lead with specific responsibilities for supporting young carers and students that have suffered a bereavement.

We are looking for someone who:
– has the ability to work independently as well as part of a team supporting students
– is motivated and passionate to achieve the very best for the children in our care and makes a genuine difference
– can demonstrate they have the experience and deep understanding of students needs with a focus on supporting students emotional wellbeing.
– has experience in supporting students with their emotional wellbeing including young carers, students that suffered from a bereavement and anxious learners.
– has experience and a broad knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
– is able to lead on training and supporting colleagues
– is well organised and proactive and able to manage a case load of students
– is ready to learn themselves and grow with us
