The White Rose Academies Trust are looking for a passionate leader who is ambitious about driving change and transforming education for young people across the city of Leeds.

Entrusted with significant delegated authority from both the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Principal, as Trust Director of Safeguarding you will play a pivotal role in further embedding and maintaining a culture of safeguarding that is exemplary, both within and across the trust, ensuring that all stakeholders understand their role in the delivery of high standards, robust safeguarding systems and strong ethos.
Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Principal, you will contribute to the strategic objectives of the trust via your first-class leadership of all strategic plans that aim to ensure that all our students and staff are safe and happy.
You will be the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the trust and will work closely with our academy based safeguarding teams; through your skilled leadership you will establish high quality working relationships with these colleagues and together you will ensure that our trust and academies are judged as providing an outstanding safeguarding culture as part of future inspections.
Working alongside senior leaders in our academies, you will be the key strategic lead for the ongoing quality assurance of the specialist provisions our academies commission places from. This quality assurance activity will include ensuring that all learners are safe, happy and making strong progress whilst accessing the curriculum offer from these providers.
In your role as Trust Director of Safeguarding, you will provide regular reports to executive leaders, principals, trustees and governors, regarding our relentless commitment to keeping children safe in education. This will also include acting as a key adviser and point of contact for trustees and governors with safeguarding responsibilities.
