An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Community Safety and Resilience Team for a Together Team and Safeguarding Lead officer. The role will require the coordination of multi-agency work in deprived communities to deliver real benefits for our communities and partners.

As the Together Team Lead you will coordinate and chair a multi-agency partnership meeting aimed at early help and preventative measures in specified deprived communities in Sedgemoor. Working in collaboration with partners to develop multi-agency working and identify opportunities for early intervention, coordinating responses to help individuals and the wider community become more resilient.

As a key responsibility of the post you will manage the Safeguarding and Prevent referrals received by the council acting as the designated lead officer. You will support internal staff when making safeguarding referrals to ensure all actions taken are appropriate. Coordinate meetings and appropriate update training for the Council departmental safeguarding champions, ensuring all are updated regarding changing countywide policies and procedures in relation to vulnerable children and adults. You will also deliver training to internal staff on all aspects of Safeguarding and the Prevent agenda.
