Job Description

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

-To plan and deliver a weekly Girls’ Youth Club which comprises of focused activities.
-Prepare a programme for each session thoroughly in advance and review content, presentation and relevance.
-Source external organisations that can provide ad hoc sessions in life skills and applied arts.
-Strong focus on engagement, including presenting at colleges.
-Keep appropriate and efficient records.
-Communicate with the girls by texting and calling before each session to help encourage attendance.
-Report on the development, progress and attainment of young people.
-Participate in meetings which relate to the project delivery.
-Communicate and work effectively with other members of the team.
-Check young people’s feedback with the Youth Project Manager and act on any relevant points related to the feedback.
-Follow policies on health & safety, equal opportunities, safeguarding children and child protection in all aspects of work.
-Assist with the supervision of young people, on a rota basis.
-Facilitate and motivate a lively participation in group by each young person, not simply the more confident ones.
-Work with the Youth Project Team so ensure continued and increased engagement in the group.
