Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is our belief. It drives us. And it motivates our Strategy, Policy and Evidence team to maintain our position as an influential, informed and forceful voice at every level. Join us as a Senior Trainer, and lead progress that means more.
The focus of this post is the development and provision of high-quality Training services and offer as part of the Training and Consultancy team. The successful post holder will be responsible for managing and delivering a portfolio of recognised quality training services against set income and utilisation targets.
The service delivers paid for safeguarding and child protection training with organisations that work with or come into contact with children. The purpose is to influence and bring about improvements in child protection services through training and development for practitioners and managers working with children and families both within the NSPCC and externally.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop and build on our current training portfolio, to be innovative with the delivery of face to face and virtual training and develop new courses that promote the NSPCC’s vision and objectives to inspire more people to be there for children, to keep children safe and make the biggest difference to children’s lives, together.
You will have had experience planning, delivering and evaluating safeguarding and child protection training. With strong influencing and networking skills, you should be confident engaging professionals at all levels, with the ability to really listen to others’ needs and point of view, find solutions to their problems whilst being able to challenge poor practice, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Ideally, you will have worked in a safeguarding context in your previous role(s).
The role will have line management responsibilities and will be accountable for managing multiple workstreams with internal and external stakeholders, as we scale our training services. We are looking for a dynamic, organised and tenacious individual who has significant experience in developing and providing adult safeguarding training with proven project management experience.
Join us and you’ll become part of a team that cares about the work they do and the people they work with. You’ll discover opportunities to grow, along with challenges and a shared purpose that’ll bring the best out in you. And you’ll get to find your own way to make a difference that means more, and that impacts millions of young lives.
