Your School:

We are seeking to appoint a SSL who already has an excellent experience of child protection and safeguarding; this experience can be outside of a school setting.

The successful candidate will play an important part in setting the direction of safeguarding and attendance tracking/intervention for our Trust. This will include regular reporting to the school Head Teachers, Local Academy Boards and Trust Board.

This is a full time post (36 hours per week) working across all of our sites.

The Person:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a capacity for hard work and a dedication to ensuring the very best standards are strived for and upheld
  • Has the skills to build and further develop teams who have the highest standards; working in a collegiate manner but able to positively and strategically direct when needed
  • Is able to recognise that everything we/they do is always about the pupils, their families, our great staff team who serve them, and the communities we serve

The SSL will lead on safeguarding culture, practice, training and policy; in close liaison with the Director of Schools and Head teachers. This role will work strategically with the Head teachers and DSLs to ensure the culture of safeguarding is firmly embedded in all we do.

The successful candidate will have a firm understanding of child protection and safeguarding. You will have ideally have experience of leading a team.

This is a schools based post; working across all our sites.
