What is the role?

In this role you will work closely with and assist the SFC Head of Safeguarding and Foundation Manager in ensuring that Saints Foundation drive best practice and statutory requirements for safeguarding. As our Safeguarding Lead you will support staff and beneficiaries with safeguarding and/or welfare issues, to ensure that everyone can produce their best results. You will support the risk management process and work with Managers to translate policy in to practice across the charity.

You’ll have the support of managers across the charity and Southampton Football Club, in order to make sure that all staff understand the importance of good welfare assessment, preparation and practice in order to create positive experiences for all participants, whilst also being hands on with case management to ensure effective referrals, interventions and direct support when it’s needed.

What are we looking for?

To thrive in this position, you will have experience in a similar role and evidence of previous work of delivering safeguarding procedures in an operational environment. You might be looking to take a step up from a current role or want to take on a new challenge in a dynamic community focused organisation. We are looking for someone who can multitask, excel under pressure and communicate effectively to all stakeholders. You will be pro-active, driven and want to participate in making a positive change for the charity.
