Safeguarding Trainer
Hours: Part-time role 16 hours per weekSalary: £11,885 to £13,714 actual per annum (£26,000 to £30,000 per annum, pro rata subject to experience and qualifications)Contract: Home based, with the requirement to work across the Diocese and attend the Diocesan Office in Chelmsford as required.
*Consideration will be given to flexible working arrangements, including part time applicants, with the opportunity for hybrid working and flexible working after successful completion of probation period.
Principally, to ensure that the safeguarding of children and adults at risk coming into contact with any of the parishes of the Diocese of Chelmsford by delivering robust, accessible and high quality training, following the National Safeguarding Team’s (NST) Training and Development Plan.
We are seeking someone: –
- To co-facilitate effective face to face and Virtual safeguarding training packages across the Diocese as under-pinned by the Church of England National Safeguarding Team curriculum.
- To regularly review the training packages with the Safeguarding Manager and Diocesan Safeguarding Team for the purposes of a consistent Diocesan – wide safeguarding message; to continually learn by reflecting on feedback and our own training experiences; to ensure that as far as possible, we have ‘fidelity’ to the National policy and practice.
- To collect and review training feedback from participants and develop the local training approach accordingly, taking into account training needs analysis
- To work collaboratively with the Diocesan Safeguarding Team and the existing external trainer ensure that the training is fairly distributed with team members with roles other than training; to share good practice and to ensure we all have the same Diocesan Safeguarding messages.
If you are: –
- Experienced in facilitating groups and communicating information in adult-learning environments, e.g. training or workshops.
- Experienced in developing training or workshop content in response to need and in line with best practice.
- A team player who possesses effective communication and presentation skills.
