We are looking for a confident, compassionate & committed Safeguarding Trainer.
As part of our Learning & Development Team, you will lead and co-ordinate a business wide programme of structured learning to ensure staff are trained to meet Safeguarding mandatory training requirements. So a background in adult safeguarding is essential.
This will be a regional role, working across the North, Midlands and South.

Key Responsibilities:
- To facilitate virtual workshops that support the organisation in meeting the Safeguarding mandatory training requirements
- To assess skills and knowledge relevant to course content
- Provide structured feedback to those that need additional support and guidance
- To provide timely feedback from course outcomes to service managers
- To provide accurate course reports and assessments of course outcomes to the wider business
- To co-design, co-produce and co-evaluate safeguarding training requirements as required
- To maintain and develop up to date relevant professional standards and skills.
- To deliver other courses as and when required
Key Tasks:
- To work closely with the Central Safeguarding Team to ensure that workshops are updated regularly, to include recent learning from safeguarding concerns and to ensure that guidance provided in workshops is up-to-date and aligns with organisational expectations.
- To liaise with the Central Safeguarding Team and service manages/safeguarding leads as appropriate, to communicate concerns that arise during training and provide feedback on colleagues if required.
- To liaise with the wider Learning and Development team to organise and plan the delivery of courses
- To deliver virtual workshops to multi-professional and multi-service groups, using a range of teaching methods that encourage participation and development of skills and knowledge
- To deliver face to face workshops as and when required
- To ensure training is delivered safely and effectively
- To collate and accurately update training records in a timely manner
- To work with the wider Learning and Development team to promote a cohesive learning and development culture within the company.
- To work on ad hoc projects as directed by the Learning and Development senior team
- To undertake any other tasks as required by the company.
Required skills:
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Relevant experience of delivering safeguarding training to a high level
- Relevant experience in a training/teaching environment
- General knowledge of training and development, ideally within the health and/or social care sectors
