Safeguarding Risk Consultant – Part-Time, Job-Share and Full-Time
Location: Home based – UK
Closing Date: Friday 10th February 2023
Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity for a safeguarding specialist to join our expanding safeguarding risk consulting team. You will support our business partners to keep up to speed with insight and information that may impact their customers and to support underwriting in relation to understanding our customers risk exposure.
This exciting, diverse and thought-provoking team provide insight on key issues that impact on our customers. Zurich Resilience Solutions is pivotal to supporting our customers and internal stakeholders with market leading risk management solutions. This fantastically varied and rewarding role includes customer management, delivery of survey programmes, provision of technical advice, thought leadership and much more. We are looking for candidates who have an experienced background in safeguarding and happy to be visit customer and be based from home.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Undertake Safeguarding reviews as part of risk management survey programmes in-line with our global guidelines.
  • Produce bespoke risk assessment and risk improvement reports to a professional standard and delivered to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively across Zurich Resilience Solutions, Claims, Underwriting and the wider business supporting our customers with their safeguarding risk.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and technical insight delivered to customers, business partners and colleagues through events, communications and other publications
  • Prioritise individual workload to deliver for our customers efficiently and effectively in line with global requirements.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Knowledge and experience of working in a safeguarding role
  • Knowledge of current and emerging safeguarding trends
  • Knowledge of risk management and loss prevention practices
  • Excellent presentation and customer engagement skills; experienced at influencing and negotiation
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and promote collaborative teamwork, seeking diverse perspectives from internal and external partners
  • Invested in self-development and the development of others
  • Tailor solutions in the best interests of our customers and business partners, understanding the evolving landscape and future needs
  • Communicate with clarity, consistency and openness
Qualifications:
  • Qualifications commensurate with senior safeguarding roles (e.g. DSL in several different settings, child protection team manager or chair, Trust DSL and similar)
The Reward:
The salary for this role is up to £50,000 depending on experience plus an extensive benefits package as follows:

This role is available fulltime, as a job-share or part-time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time.
