Safeguarding Manager (21 hours per week)

£26,782 per annum, pro-rata to the full-time equivalent salary of £44,000 per annum

As a global children’s charity, at Plan International UK, ensuring that the safety and wellbeing of beneficiaries, staff, volunteers and anyone working on our behalf is a fundamental part of our work.

This is an exciting time to join us, as we embark upon a period of transformation and development within the organisation. As Safeguarding Manager, you will play a key role in helping us ensure that as we change and develop our organisational culture, this embodies our values and ensures that safeguarding is at the heart of everything that we do.

You will lead on and deliver projects to improve our safeguarding policies and practices as well as acting as our Safeguarding Focal Point for the reporting of safeguarding incidents both in relation to our programmes overseas and in the UK.

You will need to be able to combine your in-depth safeguarding experience and expert knowledge of the UK safeguarding regulatory framework with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation.

An effective and engaging communicator, you must be able to design and facilitate training workshops and write clear and concise policies and procedures.

Above all, you must be able to demonstrate genuine passion for safeguarding and commitment to ensuring the highest standards of practice.
