Job Title: Safeguarding Manager Location: London (Home based) Salary: £36,791 Job type: Full-time, Permanent. Monday – Friday, Flexible hours. The Role: We are currently looking for a Safeguarding Manager to join our vibrant and committed Migrant Help team, on a Permanent Contract. As Safeguarding Manager, you will review and evaluate existing processes, provide training, leadership and expert professional advice on all aspects of safeguarding. The ​successful ​candidate ​will ​be ​responsible​ for ​line ​management​of ​the members of the Safeguarding team, ​including completing supervisions, one ​to one meetings​and appraisals. As ​the ​role is varied and multi- functional​ in ​nature,​there ​is​ a ​requirement​ that​ the ​post​ holder ​will ​need ​to​assess ​the changing​ business needs and ​re-prioritise work​ as required. Duties and responsibilities: Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Leads and Officers across all contracts ​Work collaboratively to continually strengthen the approach to safeguarding ​Develop and maintain safeguarding strategies and quality standards ​Work with the Designated Safeguarding Leads to audit safeguarding practice ​Develop and improve appropriate escalation processes ​Work with key external stakeholders ​Support staff on safeguarding matters, offering clear direction and advice ​Support the charity with HR safeguarding and safer recruitment practices ​Review high level incidents ​Take ownership of the Safeguarding Hub team’s site ​Ensure staff receive regular updates on any legislative or policy changes ​Produce regular news items for staff on safeguarding ​Embed the safeguarding principals throughout Migrant Help ​Further reinforce safeguarding as a golden thread through Migrant Help ​Lead on any lessons learned events ​Explore data relating to safeguarding, identifying any trends or areas of concern Experience and Skills: ​​A demonstrable ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally, including well developed report writing and presentation skills Excellent administrative and organisation skills, with great attention to detail Ability to work in a timely fashion dealing with challenging and changing needs, reprioritising and delegating work as necessary An understanding and observance of impartiality and confidentiality Highly dedicated with a genuine interest in Migrant Help, its values and our clients Benefits: Flexibility and work life balance Enhanced family friendly provisions Additional holiday entitlements Perkbox benefits Non-contributory pension scheme Please click on the APPLY button to complete the application form for this role.
