Salary details: Range 3 FTE £23,152 – £25,043 (actual salary £10,348 – £11,193)

Hours: 20 hours per week. Monday to Friday 9am – 1pm

About The Role

We are seeking a highly organised and confident individual to assist our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). You will assist with managing the active safeguard caseload and seek improvements to enhance the school’s approach to safeguarding.

Experience of working with young people is essential along with good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

JOB PURPOSE:

  • As Safeguarding Manager you will work alongside the school’s DSL.
  • You will support the DSL with managing active casework, keeping meticulous records, tracking trends and suggesting improvements with the aim of continually enhancing the school’s approach to safeguarding.
  • You will have particular responsibility for managing the safeguarding training process for staff, ensuring that all Chesham Grammar School staff receive regular and appropriate safeguarding training.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Maths and English to GCSE grade C/5 or equivalent (essential)
  • Graduate status or equivalent (desirable)
